A Welcome from the Principal

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to St Joachim's, a school community that will develop your child to their full potential. We believe learning and teaching should be supportive, collaborative, and empowering, and, supported by Brisbane Catholic Education, we provide the tools and opportunities to encourage each child to achieve their individual goals.

Each child is unique and develops in their own way, and it is our role to encourage them on their life-long learning journey.

We are a school that strives to focus on all areas of physical, cognitive, emotional, social and creative development, in an environment that nurtures, protects, and encourages the children in our care.

Student learning, wellbeing and growth are our priority….and we aim to develop our students as happy and capable contributors to our school and to our community through knowledge, understanding, and compassion.

We are a Christ-centred school community, empowering our learners through faith, respect, and service.

Faith and prayer are integral to our daily lives here at St Joachim's.  Helping each other to explore and strengthen our faith is central to everything we do.
The variety of talents and interests shown by our students are catered for by our rich extra-curricular offerings, either before or after school – these help our children discover who they are and what they like.

Music, speech and drama, chess, coding, sport, debating, choir and band are offered in the safe surroundings of our school grounds. St Joachim's truly is a place where the opportunities for your child are endless.

We have a wonderful school community – a beautiful, nurturing atmosphere that encourages parents, grandparents, and care givers to take an active part in their child's education journey.

When you join the St Joachim's community, we welcome and encourage your involvement.

We love to see our families growing and learning together on their children's education journey – it sets the foundations for life-long friendships, and a stronger school community.

We do our best work when we work together.

I encourage you to take some time to explore our website and I invite you to contact us if you have any further enquiries. It is a great privilege to lead and be part of such a warm and welcoming community.
