School Expectations Matrix

There are three whole school expectations (rules) at St Joachim’s:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be a Learner
  • Be Safe
These expectations are displayed in each classroom and other key areas where the students work and play.
These expectations are designed to ensure each student is responsible for their behaviour and learning choices. By following these expectations, the students are able to learn, to feel safe, to have fun, to make choices, to belong and feel valued. Students take ownership of their behaviour.
Explicit Teaching
Within each classroom, students are explicitly taught about the expectations. The students are guided through each element of the School Expectations Matrix, with particular areas of need focused on throughout the year.
